I couldn't pass this 74 Bug up last week. Runs a little rough and besides needing some TLC, floor pan repair and new tires it's not too bad for being off the road since 2004. I'm having a blast driving it around.

I've still been working on stuff. It's fun to drive around that is for sure. It's an indescribable feeling. I'm still working on getting it really road worthy. It had been sitting since the early 2000's. The last inspection sticker on window is from 2004 so you can imagine it may need some attention.

Thanks. I couldn't pass on it.The body is pretty decent shape for it's age. It's been repainted but is still the original color. I've recently polished and waxed it so it really shines. I've been working on it in my spare time. Replaced all the tires and brakes. Used POR 15 and fiberglass to repair the rust and holes in the floor pan behind the drivers seat. It's a work in progress. Fun to drive. _________________ Current VW: 1974 VW Bug(Standard) https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8505350#8505350

74 gets no love when in fact it's a great driving car with all the refinements earlier models lack. I bought one several years ago for 550 dollars. It was missing engine and a few interior parts, nice winter project and I'm still driving it. |

Here's a few more pictures I uploaded recently. Getting ready for winter hibernation unfortunately. I still try and take it out for a quick ride once a week. I'll try and do that until first snowfall and salt hits the roads.

Thanks. from what history I've gathered from what paperwork and other stuff in the glove box it's spent it's life in the Northeast. First owner was from New Jersey, then New York, Connecticut and last owner was local nearby in Massachusetts. Even the owner's manual had dealer stampings on maintenance from a VW dealerships up until the late 90's. Judging from the old inspection sticker it was last on the road around 2004. _________________ Current VW: 1974 VW Bug(Standard) https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8505350#8505350
