Not without changing the entire exhaust system and all the lower tin, can you be more specific about what you propose to do? _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
Please don't PM technical questions, ask your problem in public so everyone can play along. If you think it's too stupid post it here

well....my 78 champagne has a 74 motor. There seems to be a bit more selection on exhaust for the 75-79 buses. That's all.
While I got you, I got another question. Engine rebuild kits, why can't I use my original crank and Rods? Most of the rebuild kits I see come with all these Xtra parts. Wouldn't I need just bearings, gaskets, rings, and headwork? |

I think the earlier style exhaust system has fewer parts and is less complicated to work on. More details about the exhaust system you are looking for would help get your question answered.
You aren't obligated to buy a complete engine kit and can buy just what you need. There is no reason you can't use your crank and rods if they are in good condition, but you won't know this until you disassemble your engine and check the condition of the parts. |
