The new Ron Howard documentary "The Beatles" 8 Days a Week, The Touring Years" has what appears to be a palm green/sand green bus in the background when they are shooting "Help" in the Bahamas. Couldn't take a picture in the movie theater. The movie is streaming on Hulu also. _________________ '67 Beetle

Been watching a new Amazon series, "The man in the High Castle". A what if story based on the axis powers winning WWII. VW sitings all over the place. _________________ I'm at the age were "fuck off", "fuck you", and "fuck it" answer most questions. |

I'll have to Czech that out, thanks
I've been watching old CHiP's episodes. In chronological order. So many VW's - and a nice split right down the street from the station _________________ Stop dead photo links! Post your photos to The Samba Gallery! |

Some screen shots from docu /film "Orange Sunshine". Don't know how factual it is but it's a very good film and looks like they were gyreat times . Loads of buses , bugs and a Ghia or two to spot .

Got a pre-released signed DVD of "Metanoia" from Jeff Lowe this week (to be released in 2017). There is old home footage of their large family packing into their Bus in several scenes. Here's a few I captured...

This one is more "New movies with old Split busses" than "Old movies with Split busses": Infinitely Polar Bear at the second to the last scene is a nice wide hatch Panel. All through the movie are classic cars they keep moving around like we wouldn't notice. Slice of life movie is all. |

I just saw an NEW movie, a film about Maud Lewis, a folk artist from Nova Scotia, called "Maudie". Filmed entirely in Newfoundland. 2 buses, a dove blue logoed double cab with hoops and canvas and a red/white standard. Here is a trailer for the movie with the buses in the beginning, the first minute and 40 seconds.
