Layed out the trunk wiring. Going to have a dash cover so only wires that will be seen are headlight & turn. Any and all input is welcome. I don't want to have to redo or have issues later. Will be adding one more wire for driving(fog) lights.

Bumper is done ! Had to rework the mounts to work with the trans raise. Had to make body mounts, mainly this is for PA laws regarding a bumper. Looks more than function.
Used tubing bend's cut short and made plates for "sandwich" mounts. Sleeved the tubing to old bumper and welded. Thru bolted to plates inside cabin.

Got things cleaned up. Still have a few things to wire up under dash, but getting it done. Looped wires to headlight & ignition, just in case I need it later. Using a old hazard switch for fog lights and a headlight switch for wipers ( ty Wired1, found it on this site )

Wiring is done ! Waiting for lights to show up from Speedway. Black Dietz 7" headlights and 39 Chevy tail.

Mocked the dash up before final paint. Far left is the turn signal toggle and indicator lights. Wired seat belt chime in each circuit. ( Pa legal ! For 1960 ) under the dash is the horn button. Drilled out a old Ivory knob to fit over a LED toggle for fog lamp, old style Amber on right side. Used a old light switch for wipers, and another Ivory knob for glove box. Tried to tie in the outside trim bolts to the interior. I like it ! Next up lights and one piece windows

With using the 39 Chevy lights, 1157 bulb, going to use a trailer light converter to hook into the VW wiring. 3 wires going to 2 wires won't work so well ! Lol. Using a Hopkins brand converter, going to have it inside the bug on parcel tray. Covered under the carpet.

Thanks for the compliment rfenchel !

Finally got some time to get back to the build. Busy summer, to much work not enough play unfortunatly.
Used Dietz headlights and Yamaha Virago turns upfront. Plus the one fog light. Made the stands out of exhuast tubing to match the diameter of Dietz lights. Drilled the center of stub mount for turn signal wiring. That way I will only have one wire loom showing.

On the rear used 39 Chevy taillights. Was a little bit of a bugger to get the geometry right. But trial & error we got it ! Now a license plate light and a vintage STOP/TAIL light for the bumper.

Finally found a STOP light, actually it found me. Old school hot rodder in town had it. "Had it for years, I will never use it. Throw it on your Bug" he says ! I wasted no time getting it mounted up

Had to go back to my roots & broke out the woodworking equip. Made a cover deck for the rear seat. 2 piece held down with more Allen head bolts, easy to remove. The kick covers were still drying, glue. Covered with the carpet I am going to use in the rest of Bug.

Wife told me " Don't care what you do on the outside, just make it comfortable inside ". She is a keeper.

Getting the interior finished up. Dry fitting the carpet. Lots of templates made & cut and fit. Just need to finish around trans raise. Really like how it came out. Get it finished, pull it all out and install some glass. Slow & Steady

Thanks for compliment Vaughn Bros.

Finished the front lights finally. Used 1/2" Armored Cable for conduit for headlights. Fits the car, looks old and haven't seen anyone else use it. Wanted something a little different !

Lights are Dietz style headlights, Yamaha turns & Ford cowl light for fog lamp. I am pleased how they look lit up !

Been fighting with chopped one piece door windows. Have the regulators working, window channel in, and "patterns" made. They roll up and down well. Issue is scrapers. Anyone have input on what style to use. Glue in and snap in Vw won't really work. Looking for a different style I can glue on door frame. Will look better and give me more clearance. Just seeing if any others have had this issue

Door windows done !!! Hopefully heading to my buddies glass shop this week.
Huge milestone today, first test drive. Needs a tune up, rear shocks adjusted, and rear brakes adjusted. But it ran, drove, stopped and shifted great !
