The engine needs to be flushed first ?

Ppphhbbttthpphhtt.

Amsoil's website vehicle lookup doesn't even go back to cars before 1980.

Obviously, this stuff is ONLY to be used with water cooled engines. Rolling Eyes

I'm gonna assume you are a little smarter than this. Go back and google amsoil Z rod. It's described as high zinc, made for older engine designs using flat tappets and those that are used infrequently. Sound familiar? I pay half the quoted price.

Quaker State 25W-50. The milage in my Beetle is 175,000 kilometers.

Handsome bottle there, Antonio. An "SL" spec 20w-50 oil. That oil might actually be illegal in Calif after Rep. Ridley-Thomas successfully outlawed obsolete oils here.

For those that wish to learn here's a good place to start and it's free, as in free magazine to you. Industry info and tech heavy. Are you ready for 0w08 oil ? Or 0W16?

my research has led me to go with 20w-50 synthetic valvoline VR-1 racing oil in my 2275. Good luck.
