I'm trying to diagnose my fuel pump not getting power when ignition is turned on, on my 76 Baywindow I'm having trouble following the wiring diagram to trace the power wire And i can't find any forums on that subject |

How about some info on fuel pump? Type?
For starters have you cleaned up the connections on the coil for the pump and make sure they are nice and snug. For that matter clean up all connections with the pump. _________________ Keep on Busin'

It's a stock inline canister fuel pump not sure the model I have cleaned the connections I also run a jumper to it and it worked perfect Shot more gas out then i planed When i turn the key to the on position there's no power to the pos wire from my understanding of the wire diagram the pump is powered by the ECU If so how do i test the ECU

open this up.
Double Relay Explained. . . In Color!
Go down to Ignition on engine off.
The fuel pump is commanded to turn on when the valve in the air flow meter opens. So key on pull the air filter out and use a chop stick and open the flap in the air flow meter. You should hear the pump kick on.
Good luck

A test light piggybacked onto the leads on the pump helps as well, it may be stuck from sitting. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
