I have a switch I'd like add to my rig and I would like to get the right connector/socket that goes behind it. The white-ish plastic thing that it plugs into…
My google-fu is weak: I get lots of switches. Is there a better term? _________________ Currently -> Frida: 87 Tizian Red (mostly) Vanagon GL Westfalia w/ 2.0L ABA conversion

What are you using the switch for? I have sourced rocker switches that will plug into the stock spare slot on the instrument cluster. If you are looking for the connector that mates with a rocker, then either get a switch and harness from a vanagon vulture in the classified or you would need to order the switch with a connector as part of a package. Most automotive switches utilize a .250 or .187 spade tab that will correspond to a mating female crimp terminal. |

Harness might have been the term I needed. _________________ Currently -> Frida: 87 Tizian Red (mostly) Vanagon GL Westfalia w/ 2.0L ABA conversion

What switch is it that you want to deploy? A picture would help enormously, together with any part numbers that might be on it... _________________ Jim Crowther

It's the standard Vanagon fog light switch.
I'll see about getting a part number. _________________ Currently -> Frida: 87 Tizian Red (mostly) Vanagon GL Westfalia w/ 2.0L ABA conversion

I use one of those and just connected to it with ¼" female quick-connects:
Or possibly an insulated version:

Yes, your standard female spade connector. Color of insulation dictates gauge of wire. _________________ '90 Westy / automatic.

Ditto (actually, PO gets credit for doing it). I wouldn't use the VW one if you paid me to... those sockets can be a real bitch to remove (just pulled the rear heater harness off its switch for the first time... involved some rather colorful words in the process ). _________________ ~Kamz

The switch is marked:
944 613 111 00
I have it hooked up with terminal disconnects but I have my reasons for wanting the socket/harness.
