Got the fuel pump installed. I went with a carter, that is what i have had really good luck with on my 66 c10. Ran all black an fittings with black nylon braided hose. Went for the first real road driving the car has seen in 3 years. Went to the gas station and back. I think the engines main seal is out, i have replaced it twice now pretty sure the flywheel is shot, but i will have the large engine in about 8 months. I think i am going to jist let it drip and clean it regularly till then. The car is darty, i need to align the front badly lol. All and all it was a fun trip. All smiles.
I am waiting on a 2 inch collar to weld to the fuel pump bracket.
Should fit nicely down on the beam. I will raise it up enough so the beam is the lowest point.
Chears. |

Well I pulled the trigger and painted the bumpers black. I think it turned out pretty good.

Quick Question for you all. I looked around and could not find anything on this, the windshield wipe shaft nut size for an oval? Is it a M10X1.0? I could not find them anywhere, and I have a show coming up in Chattanooga this weekend I would like to have the wipers on.
Thanks all! |

Excellent work. Love the exterior color and Fuch replica wheel choice. Your now on the home stretch, looking forward to the completed Bug pics. _________________ 1957 VW Oval Resto Mod |

It is 10x0,75 as far as I could measure on my 1954.

Perfect! Thank you for the reply. Now it is tracking down some. I went to Fastenal, no luck. I really do not want to go online and get the kit for it and spend 10 dollars in shipping. Might have to wait till I order carpet.
Thanks again for the kind comments. Almost done, then onto the engine |

Finally got to take a long drive with it over the weekend! put about 100 miles on it. I don't know if I really like the 7" wide rims on the front, you really have to keep the front high to turn.
I don't think I will change it though because I love the way 16" rims look on the bugs. |

16"X6" on the front, 16"x7" on the rear.
Nexen N'Fera SU1 Performance Radial Tire - 195/45ZR16 for the front
Nexen N'Fera SU1 Performance Radial Tire - 205/55ZR16 for the rear
I misspoke and said 7" sorry. |

Sorry gents it has been a while since my last posting. I have been saving up and finally get the interior in from Sewfine.
The seats and carpet turned out awesome. door panels are coming in today from the brown truck and I cannot wait to install them.

Here are the seats in detail. Also purchased the gauges that I was wanting. I think I am going to do the Motorgauge dash piece. |

The Sewfine covers look awesome, way better than TMI material. My dream Bug is a Mercedes silver exterior with a bright red Sewfine interior. _________________ 1957 VW Oval Resto Mod |
