I believe my engine is a "B" case with a provision for the mustache transaxle mount. Is it possible to use a beetle case in my bus? Can I retrofit the bolt holes for the mount on the h case?

You can even use a case from a bug that doesn't have the threaded bosses for the mustache bar. You use an adapter. So I guess my simple answer is yes

Use an adaptor and you're golden.
But I'd go with the newer dual relief cases if you're gonna be running it in the bus.

Look for an engine with these mounts.
