I checked out the link to the french website. The car that was used as the base was pretty much toast to start with. So if you can bring a wreck back to life with a creative twist, then please do (that's another Ghia saved from the wrecking press)
Please just don't do such hack to a structurally sound Ghia
Although I agree with you John, nothing could be better designed on a Karmann Ghia than the factory lines of the original low light Ghia coupe (unless it's a very early 356, and even then)!
A shame that VW had to raise the headlights after 1959..oh well, if that's the only whine on its design, it's pretty awesome! |

I like the Carrera look some, although I'd probably go no bumper and just an airdam, and maybe a whaletail, although the ducktail looks good, but move it up to just behind the vents. |

This one is coooooooooooool !!!!!!!!!!!
I Like the way he did the foot. It follows perfectly the body shape.
One thing is a little bit "French" looking to me; the overhanging end above the rear glass. Loks Like an old Citroen dyane... but it's okay anyway!!
Would be interesting how the b-pillar will look Like (to fix the side Windows).... _________________ VW Transporter 2004

well, the rear window doesn´t follow enough the lines of the side window.
possibility 1: change side pop out window shape
possibility 2: change rear side window shape

Honestly, I think a Squareback is as close to a Ghia wagon as I'd ever want to get. The Squareback nose goes better with the wagon shape than the rounder Ghia nose. Fun to see what people can come up with, though. |

Here's a Ghia with the ass end and rood from a 68 Charger.......seems to fit pretty good!
Reminds me of the Moby Dick of Porsches... |

quick & dirty photoshop job,
& i know i may be crazy, but I really want to build this, & electrify it.
i need a wagon for the extra batteries & to haul my tools, but i want that low center of gravity & aerodynamics workin for my efficiency.
it’s either this or the Panel Wagon Bug.
