I can't make heads or tails of the badge on the other car. It doesn't resemble a Fiat 500. What is it?

Thanks. I am more familiar with the 2CV which I probably first saw in American Graffiti (1973).

2CV was a Citroen, not a Renault. The 2CV had a 2-cyl. aircooled engine in the front, with a trunk in the back. The Renault 4CV had its small 4-cyl. in-line longitudinally mounted engine in back, thus the air vents in the rear lid.
The Renault 4CV's engine lid was utilized for the vents on the famous custom 1970 Beetle built by the CA pinstriper Shaky Jake in the early '70's-

And I was just reading about the 2CV in a book I have called Cool Cars by Quentin Willson (2014). I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention.

Frank Lloyd Wright's 1939 design of George D. Sturges house with what looks like a Super Beetle in the car port. Unsure of the true age of the picture.

From the Gallery. What is not to love about this picture? Dad buys mom and daughter matching bugs, but daughter has to charge hers up just a bit so it is not identical as moms. Badge on hood, sticker in rear window, radio antenna is higher so she can get the stations far away that play boogie woogie music and turn signals. Moms plate is one number below daughters and semaphores?

Probably no semaphores on the oval, the pic is cut and the ladys purse is probably blocking the bullet on the left fender. Has over riders also, so likely not a European model.
