Very inspiring thread! The work you have been pouring is all out and your splitty is getting to its destination to perfection each day! I remember the days and months that I was restoring my splitty! Every development is priceless! Congrats!

Really impressive body working skills.. I can tell you take the time to make your panels fit just perfect. Are you mig welding or Tig? and if so how are you getting such nice results after grinding? Typical flap discs? Really impressed !!!

Oh cool. I've been using the 3M rolocs but I'm almost out and I'm having a tough time finding them online. I'll look into it 👆🏼Awesome build and detail btw.

testing out some rust removers
replacing the whole panel seemed a bit excessive and yet another big job..
grinded the most of the rust out with a drill bit
And a wire brush
i used the noverox let's see how things work out.

i'm really a big fan of the mango and the brown interior...
but it came out of the factory in turkish green...
So now what? do i change the color or keep it original? Sad

I think both choices look great, but if it were me, I would stick with what it came with.

Do whichever you prefer. They are both great color combos. I tend to lean towards what was original but wouldn't feel guilty changing it either if that's what I wanted.

You've essentially rebuilt this bus top to bottom so in my view you have carte blanche on this!

I vote for original color. Your restoration is too perfect not to.

Just my opinion. Very few people that see it will ever know so really it comes down to how you will feel about it. Both colors look great.

Amazing work!
