Ok so I found this "Homemade" thing. I know they didn't make VW Things in 1964 so what in god's name is this? Is it a "Thing" body?

It was for sale on the Samba for a long time. It was in California. It is now for sale on Ebay. I think it is in New Jersey now. It is a home built type of vehicle, not a kit. Not a Thing, that's for sure.
