Ok, there isn't an official "awesome oval ads" forum, so I guess this has to go here
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=2095698
Line about "everything is a barn find" had me busting up. That interior is awesome, I would respray the exterior and roll it like it is. Shame about the later pan, if it was OG I would pick that up as a daily driver. Perfect color combo.
Oh, I guess I have to whine about something. Uhhhh, the later pan is yellow?

This seems like a lot of money for an "excellent condition" convertible that isn't in excellent condition. The crappy bumpers, sky high taillights, the steering wheel that needs to be restored, and the dash looks like it's nothing but orange peel and possibly a run on the dash.

Major pet peeve, Aftermarket bumpers on a high priced car, for that kind of money you would think they would spend a few extra bucks, does look like a run in the paint.
His camera sure doesn't like straight lines, and he's on reserve, so plan on hitting the station after purchase. I can deal with the steering wheel, at least you know what you have to work with. That antenna is running rogue, that looks really weird and out of place.
Don't dig the seat covers and too bad he covered the rear seat brace, I personally love the look of paint in that area. but that's just me.
But at least the car has a Top........ So jealous. _________________ 1960 Convertible |

So GREED FEED, raise the price almost 50% AFTER stripping the fuel tank, fuel tap, and running boards (bet he snaps off all the hardware too). Huh. Beyond that, too lazy to take photos after removing those parts. Folks, when you show a picture of stuff for sale, DON'T SHOW THINGS THAT ARE NOT INCLUDED!!! _________________ Jack Staggs

RARE 25HP ZUNDFOLGE Early Volkswagen Bug Engine Case
http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/322632443896?fromMakeTrack=true
So, is ZUNDFOLGE a manufacturer? Or maybe it means it's a rare hi performance case? I always thought it meant something else! _________________ "Just $99 down and $64 a month for 36 months buys you a brand new Volkswagen Beetle!"

Its not even close to being a 25hp case, its a July of 55 (1956 model year) 36 hp case. Translation is Firing Order. Gotta love ebay with ignorant sellers hoping to stir some bidders on the crap they found at a yard sale that they have no idea of what they've got. Great price too! |
