Lots of different size O.E. German hoses. Pricey!

Mounting the electric engine fuel pump. We used the gas heater bracket for this. Maybe we can use this pump for the heater also?

Here's the fuel flow schematic. Click on it to see the red arrows. Fuel filters are used to change from domestic size hose, to metric. The filter is "stepped up", so it has both sizes. Very clever...

Sideview of fuel lines, under the gas tank, from the right front fender. Proves plenty of clearance for pump & lines.

Check out how nice this angle lines up with the windshield.

The pump for the heater is a solenoid type pump and operates by contacts in the fan.

Did you not use any gaskets either side of the plastic filter, or are you counting on the filter flange to seal both leak paths? I bought the same kit from cip1 and it recommended gaskets be used with this filter. Also, did you use the loose washer under the nut?

Great job on the restoration and the step-by-step posts.

Since Randy found the thing facebook page a few months ago, he has not been back here to finish up.

it is not a build thread, he is just posting that it is together, and that it drives. short videos of test drives etc.

Now if you want to read through an interesting one on here, check this one out (all 18 pages): https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=389726&highlight=schwimmer
