I have searched on line and my local Ace hardware but have not had any luck finding a replacement large brass rivet that holds my z-bed mechanism together. Can anyone point me in the right direction? My bus is a Sportsmobile.

Are you talking about the Z-Bed kit that converts the stock rear bench seat into a fold-out bed, or are you talking about the Westfalia mustard yellow cushioned plywood box seat/bed?

Rivets are generally used in manufacturing because they are cheap. A bolt can replace a rivet

Ace is better than big box store, but I think My Gil Roys has a better fastener selection. Or go mom and pop, if there are any left around. And as wasted youth pointed out, I am pretty sure you are talking about folding bed hinges. Sportsmobilers unite!

Yes, probably folding bed hinges. I will get some photos to better explain, but a nut and bolt won’t work in this case as there is no clearance.

A Binding barrel and screw might work. If not look at the rivets.

Good luck
