I think he's talking about how....deformed your deformation panel is. They didn't feel like pulling that straight huh? Looks like it affects where the bumper bolts mount up. Can't really see from the pictures.

Keep in mind digital imaging optimized for internet applications... then viewed on a very wide range of different color monitors... without regard to color temperature corrections, scale and saturation in processing... or the several different programs that edit photos...

Sheesh! The point is it's damn near impossible to compare paint colors by people submitting their photos on the internet. Color comparison should be done in the field, up close, with your eyes and paint chips.

Flourescent, tungsten, Carbide and gas lighting all reflects colors differently than the sun and you need to correct for all that in Photoshop or another program that can color balance based on degrees Kelvin principal.

I've had vws done at restoration shops and have found the colors to look different to what I've seen in magazines and online. As others have pointed out, you took it to Maaco-a budget paint shop. We arent' talking Buddy Hale level paint quality here, and nor should you expect it from Maaco. I had my service trucks done here, and folks have taxi cabs done here, because they need to look decent from 20 feet. Maaco is fine for a budget paint job, but if you're looking for an exact, spot on correct paint color and the finest workmanship, this isn't the shop for it. Get the masking error fixed, and drive and enjoy a good looking Bus that you can be proud of but don't need to worry about like you would a 100 point show car.

Rayroc... Are you satisfied with the paint job yet? Did the shop fix the masking error(s)?

Supposed to pick it up tomorrow with the paint line fixed but as it turned out I think the reason it appeared so dark was die to the overcast sky because it literally looks like a different color now and it's been sitting in the same position the sunlight being the only thing that's different I'm very happy with it I'll post a picture with the paint line fixed.
