Does anyone know anything about the Otto Glockler VW dealership in Germany? That is where my 1950 split came from? My car has the body badges but I have never seen anything else from that dealership? Does anyone have anything to post??

Glockler is quite famous for many reasons. They were also a Porsche dealer with important early racing involvement.

Tim, Gloeckler became a distributor for VW, not just a very early dealer. Note that in your and Lind's emblems, the "O" in Glockler has an umlaut which changes the pronunciation more to "gleckler". Name stems from "one who rings bells", with "Glocke" being "bell" in German. Otto was the founder of the original dealer in Frankfurt*, selling German cars and motorcycles between WW1 and WW2. His son Walter built up the dealer out of the wartime ruins, still carrying the father's company name. It was Walter who was appointed dealer for VW, and then for Porsche in 1950. Another Gloeckler family member associated with the dealer-built racers was Helm (Helmut) Gloeckler, who was Walter's cousin.

In your emblem, FFM stands for Frankfurt am Main, the city being along the Main river (pronounced "mine") to differentiate it with Frankfurt a.d. Oder which was the city along the Oder river, east of Berlin.

*Some history here, though in German: http://www.porsche-frankfurt.de/de/wir-ueber-uns/u...39528.html

Yes, I had a Bus from there. from memory I believe he had his own Porsche race team a year or two before Porsche entered their own factory team.
