Mystery Number stamped into Front clip

Soo this was never solved?
I have this numbers in the front on most of my car 52-57 all with diffrent numbers oo and 77 i remember

But i notice a stamp on my January 1954 bettle on the rear body attachment.

I have not looked on my splits to see if they have stampas there to.

I just now found and read this thread so thought I'd best check our car also.

Numerals 33 and letter C above left inspection cover on an October 14, 1955 L225 Jupiter Grey Standard sold new at Weisbaden. As you can see, the stamper really punched the 33s in hard while the C is much more crisp with less deformation of the metal.
