Special 53 air cleaner ?

Hi,
I have found recently this 53 air cleaner, was wondering why the bottom is chromed ? tuning, specific model, special order, rare version ...?
Does anybody has already seen this ?

It should not be chrome, just black. Looks like a 1980's custom! Wink

Yes, I think someone simply chromed it at some point in the past.

The yellow reminds me of those cutaway engines. Some parts on those engines would be chrome plated. The air cleaners were usually blue on the later ones but the intake would be yellow.
