1972 alternator bracket help

Learning what it's supposed to look like. Does the bottom of the bracket bolt to something or just rest there. Mine isn't attached and can't tell if it's rusted away. It is attached on top.

It's supposed to attach to the heater box and support the exhaust. You can see the bottom of the bracket on the left side of this pic here.

Next one: working on the horn all morning. Where does the ground wire from the top horn button go to on the bottom? Inside to? I see a male end on the outside bottom. I have a ground wire from the horn through the floor to this. But when I do that, turn power on, I get constant horn. If I jump from that directly up to horn button, it will beep, only when I push it. That's what I want. But the wire is on the outside. And I can't put the button back on. Lost in electrical.
