So I have spent the afternoon attempting to figure out why the fridge will not stay lit during LP operation. It works great in A/C and DC mode but the Burner would not stay lit under LP. I swapped the old burner for the newer one with larger orifices (you can tell from the picture my wife’s grandparents used it a lot... lol), took a greenie meanie to the thermocouple probe and ignitor tip. Put everything back together and it is still not staying lit. I can see a flame when the bypass switch is engaged but it goes out as soon as I release it. What would be the next logical part to look to replace? Not sure if it matters at all but our van has the high altitude kit on our fridge. Thanks!

I don't have one of these refrigerators, but I'm assuming you are holding the bypass down long enough for the thermocouple to heat up? If the pilot is burning fine w/the bypass switch on, it seems likely the problem would likely be either in the thermocouple itself, or the controller it sends to. |

I found the actual trouble shooting guide after I posted this. After following the steps, everything pointed to the thermocouple. Thanks for the reply and confirmation from someone more seasoned! |
