I HAVE A 1974 SUPER AND I HAVE TO CHANGE OUT THE REAR TRAILING ARM BUSHINGS. IS THERE ANY THOUGHTS ON WHAT KIND OF BUSHINGS TO USE.
AND HOW HARD ARE THEY TO DO AND WHAT KIND OF TOOLS NEEDED.

Stock rubber will give a nice smooth, quite, factory new ride, the performamce urathane ones can be harsh riding, and can be noisey (squeeky) they may help handling a bit, but if you have worn out old ones, you will be impressed with new stock rubber ones.

Id personally go with stock rubber unless I plan on autocrossing the Bug, in which case id also lower the car, stiffen the springs, low profile tires and such.

good luck, ride smooth!

Check the location of the big washers before you pull it apart they’re typically both on the outside not one on each side like you might think
