I have been trying to find a roof rack for my 71 Fastback for quite sometime now, and I have never been able to find any for sale. I have seen a handful of Fastbacks with roof racks, but alas I still can't find one for myself. I plan on moving out very soon, and going on a long roadtrip, so a rack would be very handy to have (plus it will look tight. ). If anyone has any for sale or knows of a site or any other source that has them, please let me know! |

Our good friend here on the forum has retired from making the classic style racks. I think I got the last one...
Your best bet is get a Yakima or Thule with rail grab style risers and a basket. _________________ Mike D.

There are a number of Facebook groups devoted to Type 3 & VW's. I have seen racks being custom made there, so I would join & ask in those groups. WTB ads here & there should turn up something.
