Trying to determine what year this is...think I'm close, but has it been modified ?

The brake light holder?

That is a stock one, used at least from mid-55 onward on USA/N. American Bases, maybe earlier too.

All the ones I've seen here are different....the lic light configuration seems to be mounted in a different way from others . Was there no hood over the lic light ?

That is a little bent but it looks like that.

There is nothing around the license light bulb
