Is there a difference in rear wheel arch sizes for post barndoor single cabs?
I thought I could modify this panel using the nos cut up one as a reference, but the wheel arch is about an inch higher. I didn't have a tape measure at hand so I literally just used masking tape the longer length of tape is the top of the wheel arch on my 54 single cab, the shorter is the post barn door full replacement panel.
The panels are 264 809 041 and 264 809 041A Any help appreciated, maybe you have a 55- truck that you could measure? cheers... Anthony
some other comparison pics for posterity...

All flat wheel wells, barndoor and post barndoor should be the same, about 15 1/4" or 385mm from the top edge for a truck. That panel kind of looks like a later lipped wheel well opening. Maybe some sort of a later replacement piece? _________________ David S |

Hi David appreciate the reply... oddly there is no folded lip on the panel just the usual flat early wheel well. The part number on the sticker looks right and the panel doesn't look modified. When I get back at the end of the week I will measure it up. Are you thinking it's a later replacement piece but with early flat opening? |

The lip looks high to me. You also should consider the sticker could be misplaced on an oddball and that is why it is still NOS. I've seen stickers on wrong parts in the past. Say it didn't match up to the vehicle when ordered for a repair and it was sent back and went in the rafters of the dealership. _________________ www.blastserv.com
