Type 3 truck, with a twist.
It's oddly appealing, and the grafting of the Karmann Ghia nose & hood to the Type 3 is well done. Should be quite the looker when finished. _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943) |

It's also a repost from 3 pages ago. _________________

I'll never understand why so many bugs turned into trucks don't run a type 3 or 4 engine with the flat fan layout. You might actually get a somewhat usable bed floor if you didn't have that damn type 1 fan shroud! _________________ 1973 Superbeetle: 1st car, owned since age 12. Because custom cars and trucks are not built with utility in mind. _________________ nothing |

Thanks, my point exactly! I've said that same thing for years. |

I don't think subtle was what was in the builder's mind....I like it. Only thing I don't care for is the 2x lumber for the bed cover, but that's just personal preference.
And I understand the comments about the pancake relative to type 1 cooling. I have 2 cars that I have built with type 1 (VW Woodie and the Bug Hearse - which isnt finished) and another VW Woodie with a type 3. It is nice having that extra space for things like chairs with the pancake. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

I fail to see why this was posted. It is rotten. It isn't an abortion or a home made bastard, even with the common hacked wheel wells and air scoops. _________________ Formerly known in the forums as "OVALTEEN"

Maybe a year ago it was a full perfect restoration and the owner wanted a ratty one instead.

Because of the Bus being a shorty I'm posting it here, but I'm impressed.
