Seeing all of the rot in the rear floors and the rear side walls I think you have made a very wise decision to strip it for parts. |

Use heat to remove the aluminum seat rail tracks. They are stuck down using a polyurethane type adhesive. If you use heat and a scraper they will pop right off.
Not sure what adhesive to use to reattach. I am looking at this too with my CV interior.... |

Are you going to install the Eberspacher underfloor gas heater to the new Van? |

Hey all. Been a while since posting. Haven’t had time for any work.
Finally got around to placing the seat rails and testing carpet fit.
I took measurements from old van and lined up rails in new van. Then drilled a couple of holes for locating rails, screwed down and checked carpet fit.
Now to remove, clean and glue in place.
Still have to drill some holes and put in riv-nuts before I can glue carpet.
And also need to do something about the heater core which will be covered by the carpet when it’s laid in place.

Ok so I hauled out the rear wiring harness from the red westfalia.
This connects to some connectors that come out of the pillar by the drivers sunshade.
This is for a number of things, from the cooler box to the display overhead of driver, water pump, yada yada

Thanks for the updates!
I need to do the same install for my Eurovan CV rear bench.
Does your Westfalia have the underfloor eberspacher heater and if so are you going to install in the new van?
Cheers

Added some pics of what it’s like underneath. Compared to “Old Red”, she’s a dream. Gotta get under and give her a scrape and hit with rust converter.

Yes, Canada could purchase the Eurovan CV Westfalia (full camper) from 1992-1995. Canada could also purchase LWB passenger van that sat up to 11 people and a diesel transporter panel in either SWB or LWB. |
