Hi it's my bus is not a real samba I have made it out of my 54 panel all German steel and a original samba roof I know not everyone will like it but I have built it for myself and would never been able to get a real one . |

Ok I have not got a lot of photos but I will post the ones I have it was an easy job as the panel was really good it didn't take long to do the metal work

It was from Irve it was on his 15 window barndoor we did a roof swap his bus had been damaged and the roof swapped in 1959 and had a window roof put back on |

there are a few 23 window in classified.. they want over 100k im like really ? then found another 80k wholly hell... now look at the muscle cars.. real ones.. are so much money you dare not drive it.. but CLONES ? are fetching big money and you can drive them.. a example.. real hemi cuda then a clone then a base model cuda.. in money.. were clones are fetching more then base models of the same kinda car.. Yenko camaros.. another example.. and Your bus is now worth more.. so damn good job |

I see the paint cans in one pic. Mind telling what you used? Perhaps not available in my remote area, but paint and getting the right colors are always interesting. Nice job, btw.

This Smaba is from the portuguese VW agent.
It's from June 1950. |
To be exact: this Samba is in the collection of the Portuguese General importer of VW, in a subcompany called LGA, situated about 40 kms before the gates of Lisbon.
And this bus is a 1952 Deluxe, not a 1950. (First Samba production year is 1951 BTW). Attached a pic, when we were lucky enough to be admitted into their halls with our Portuguese 1962 bug ("limousine de luxo", meanwhile passed on to private Portuguese enthusiasts) and could check out their collection. Pic dates from 2005 and shows also the General Manager of LGA, who at that time was caretaker of that collection.
