I need the outer shaft part for my 58
This seems to be a incredibly hard part to find, what years would work.?

Also they were Canadian Custom and Euro Standard columns up until '66, so maybe check German, Belgian, Dutch, Brit e-bays.
And try Facebook scene for folks who go to those Euro car shows and see parts.
Does your '58 wheel have 24 or 48 splines?

Cheers a friend actually found one for me in texas and is sending it over then last week a mate found 2 beetles in hedges and the only things left were the columns so he grabbed them seem to be the correct length |

Ok so it turns out after all that I have ended up with 2 different length outer columns
I have the 3 wire indicator switch like the oval ? And different to a mates in his 64
Not having either car local to check what would fit which one is correct? One measures 720mm and has a flared end
The other is 620mm with no flare
I'm guessing it's the larger one I need for my 58? |

You want the longer one with the brush holder. The other one looks to be a '60-'67 style. _________________
