Hey Guys,
I have been searching and searching diagrams and posts and think I have narrowed down the engine bay wires from the harness. I just need help confirming these wire locations.

If I am wrong, feel free to correct me.

Blue Wire- Oil Pressure Sending Unit (do i need this if I am running a Oil Pressure gauge with a different wire already?)

Big Red Wire- Went to D+ on the Generator, but now goes to B+ on my Alternator

Black Wire- ? I have no idea to be honest. Maybe a reverse light switch? (was connected to the positive side of coil)

Green/Red Wire- Went to DF on the Generator, but now goes to D+ on my Alternator

Really thrown off on finding the black wire purpose?

Thanks in advance guys!

The black wire goes to terminal #15 on the coil (12V+). The wire from the condensor on your distributor goes to terminal #1 on the coil.

The rest of your wires sound right though.

Thank you for the help.

Do you know what the black wire powers with the 12v?

The coil, choke heaters on stock Solex carbs, idle solenoids on carbs, and back up lights. On FI, the coil, back up lights, and kick down switch (AT).

On an automatic car the backup lights have their own fuse in the fuse box. At least, on the 71 models they do; mine are this way. Manual cars' backup lights still were powered off the coil.
