How things were built back in the day, prior to internet.

This clean notch - kustom, yet stock at the same time. The predecessor to resto custom. Cool

"Type 3 Dave" Galassi's notch. Really influential. It was the start of a whole new direction for customs back in the 80s when everyone else was building cars with chop tops, wild graphic paint schemes and billet accessories. Dave really upped the game.

A lot of the NOS parts on that car could be purchased over the counter at Bill and Steve's back then -- no big deal! Shocked

Ahhh, the good old days - When B&S did have the goods.

The hopefully still present owner from Japan emailed me back in 09 wanting to be in the 1500 club with that car. I found the old email when looking for something else. Im going to look for more gold on the google cloud in my mail - I know there's more from other cars.

I hope it's not just me that finds the wheels hideous. Ok, I get the 5x130 brakes were easy but soooo many better rims available, even back then

And the plug wires gotta go.

Such a rad car. This one and the KSNPVMT yellow fastback, and the tangerine metallic notch on chrome cookie cutters hooked me

BOTH

the inner short goes to the Front

inner longer goes to the Rear

is because the offset of the bumper guards compensate
when is DONE from TOP view ALL end up SAME length

to bad its missing its cateye now. still looks good though.

Lowngrn 69 bright green square shaved up on polished early rivieras from nor cal was the car that did it for me. Then page proctors suicidal tendencies put it over the top.

Dave Galassi's car was an inspiration to keep my notch stock and original and just add alloys.

At the time I posted this, those pics I believe were new to then - and maybe a couple months old at the time.

Looks like it was left alone and do it better justice than the HVW pics.

As hard as it was, it was fun to build. Recently I ran across an old album with photos of the car when I purchased it and when I was building it. Lots of great memories. Even found flyers from the old Type 3 Days and other shows. Thanks for the posts!

Between Dave's car and Wassernotch, were my inspirations. The yellow KSNPVMT Fastback was another one. Over the years, there were quite a few though.
