So a couple buddies and I went for a cruise last Saturday. It was a typical PNW wet and rainy day.

My 67 has great heat and I am quite comfortable. But could feel cool / cold air coming through the parking brake boot (it's original and cracked) chilling my right arm.

The tunnel seals are intact and I have the chassis drain valve in place that I purchased from the local Porsche dealer.

Does the air come in from the fuel line seals? That seams the logical location.

What have you done to fix this?

Possible stock routes of ingress for airflow in the tunnel:
- shift rod inspection plate and seal at the front
- fuel line grommet under tank
- transaxle nose cone seal
- clutch and accelerator cable seal
- fuel line grommet at left frame horn
- tunnel drain at center rear bottom

Is it flowing through like a wind or just cold there?

If it is a wind them something is possibly scooping it up such as the front cover missing.

Classic Brands. Classic Quality.
Not all parts are made the same. NOS OE/OEM parts made mainly in West Germany, Early Germany, and Early Brazil are where VW produced the best quality parts and best fitting products.

I would suspect the cover plate is missing in front were the shift rod is installed. How secure is the boot by the way?
