Year of steering column?

Can you guys tell me the year of the steering column that's in my 54 Oval? I'd like to put a '54 steering wheel on it but not sure it'll fit.

You've got a 60s column and signal switch. This column is shorter than an oval one because it's intended to be used with a 60s dished steering wheel. If you try to put an oval steering wheel on, it will interfere with the turn signal switch.

You need to get a 50s column that's longer, then a 50s turn signal switch that's straight, not dog legged like what you have.

Thanks Bruce. I may just get a nice stock '60s wheel. The car is on a 1970 chassis. It's all extremely well done so mixing up years is already part of the build.
Any suggestions on where to get a high quality steering wheel that will match the column?
