i got turned on to this SO-42 in NEPA. i'll probably go back in a few weeks to conduct the extraction. the old guy tried to push it out with a skidsteer and mached the bumper up over the engine lid, push the rear cheek in and poke a hole it it. interior is gone except for the front seats and rear cargodoor shelves. it's a walkthru. frame is solid but its got some other major problems. the old guy was great, he had a trucking company, survived cancer, lived in a converted barn that he built himself and had himself a girlfriend. the house on the property dated from 1682 and had another building with a diverted stream running under it to power a mill

Glass doesn't rust, but it does succumb to kids with BB guns.

Thank you so much for reminding me. Sometime in the late 1980's kids shot out 14 pieces from my Swiss (AMAG) delivery 23 window. That means they were SIGLA, a little harder to find in the US. Enclosed storage is worth it.

I wonder what problem was solved by installing the grab handle on the roof? Hope it was worth it!

that is the handle to grab it and throw it away, much like the roll bar on the first generation golf convertible.

But they do bubble and fog up. I cant see any of that. Unless this bus has sekurit glass. Every american 15 or 23 window I've had from 58 to 63 has had sigla's.

My 63 15 Window has a sekurit corner glass. It is a July 63 bus and was in the woods since 1971. The other corner window was on the B.B. gun side so it was gone. I believe the sekurit corner window was original to the bus.

Yes, late 63 buses did have Sekurit corner windows; did your bus have Sekurit front door glass and Durivit pop-out and stationary side windows too?
