Hello All,

I decided to replace the fuel tank but would like to identify the types of tanks I have.

Remember,

Pan is a 57

Body around 62 or 63.

Is it even a vw tank?

Thank you for the link. The gas tank looks very similar but the ribs go across the top all the way. There isn't a shallow area. I wonder if these tanks are from an earlier model or not vw at all?

The aftermarket tanks don't look like originals. Yours looks like an original. This is from a 1966.

Thanks Q-dog,

I remember the original owner had a mid sixties bug that he used for parts. The Empi does have a 6v transaxle that was converted to 12v at some point.

Thanks again.
