all looks good. you know the adaptor flanges out of the gearbox have VSS cut outs built into them right?

is there a secret with the intake? i notice you have hidden it.

I have done about 3000 miles on my subarugears now and it seems fine. not CV issues. if i get any i will go to the porsche CV's as they can g to a greater angle

Yes. I am aware of that. But having never used it before I didn't want to chance anything. Either way I still needed the vss....so it wasn't an added expense really. This trans didn't have one built in....its just cast into the case, but not drilled out.

Intake is hush hush. Too much time and money truing to figure out a super tight 90* that would work

yeah the later boxes have the mounting boss but not fully drilled out liek you say.

forgive me if i have not understood what you wrote but what i meant was the subaflanges. right next to where you have installed your VSS pickup on the CV, the subaflange has been designed with it already in.

so, to make it even clearer what I use is dead nuts accurate, and I don't have time to fuck around with something unknown. will it work? sure it's a proximity sensor. will it be accurate? I don't know and really don't have time to find out. either way, I needed to order a VSS, so there is zero lost here.

so, to recap...yes, I understand the flanges have the notches for the VSS. I chose not to use them

I need to add coolant, gas, install the fuel sender and I should be set to start tomorrow....shit....later today. man, 1:30 already....

nice one thanks for explaining. more and more UK gearboxes are without the VSS built in are coming available in the UK so seeing your setup helps a lot.

good luck for the startup and test drive later.

no problem. if it were my bus and I had time, I would have played around and reported how it worked. at this pint, I just can't afford the R+D time, so I went with what I know works.

I just peeled myself off the couch. I need to change out of the my little pony undies I have on, put on my big girl pants grab a coffee, gas, triple check a few things, bow towards Fuji Heavy Industries and hit the key. there will either be a mushroom cloud, or me getting jiggy with it. either way, a video will be made soon
