I've read the posts I can find about horns, but not seeing what I need.

My '03 Weekender's horns have stopped working. Were weak but now nothing. I have removed horns, cleaned all connections, put new connectors on horns, and tested both horns with alligator clips to battery. Got good sound from both. Cleaned all grounds near the horn, on the mounts, etc., but nothing.

I know on older cars there was a contact that had to be made under the horn pad on the steering wheel, but when I look at videos of removing the airbag from the steering wheel I'm not seeing such contacts. Should there be a ring there, or some other contact that isn't showing in videos?

I haven't checked a fuse yet. Will tomorrow. Not hearing a relay click but I can listen for that tomorrow, too. Any help appreciated. [/u]

I've got pictures I buried somewhere in an ignition switch thread , my recollection is its two knife edge contacts bearing no resemblance to earlier T123 horn switches.

I'll try dig them up later this evening

Check the fuse. Should be #13.

The fuse was bad! That was my next step. I'm assuming the fuse went bad b/c the connections were all so bad. I'll see if this fuse goes, then will have to locate a different short for the fuse problem.

OK. Fuse has blown again. Any suggestions on where to start looking to track down a short are appreciated.
