So just a question here. The Binz double cab was in production from 58-59 and stopped shortly after VW started producing them themselves. There are pictures of at least one barndoor Binz. So what is the reasoning for no prototype or production from 55 post barn door to 57? |

There likely were a few trucks built by Binz previous to 58, but no examples exist, so that is only speculation. The only proof of a Binz built earlier than 58 is the photos of the barndoor Binz. The company kept no records of production, so there is little to go on. It is thought that they began producing them in 58, but you could bring in your earlier truck and have them build it for you. That could explain the barndoor, I suppose. _________________ nothing |
