|What sort of prep is required before and after blasting?
I was thinking of trying the "dustless" media blasting that Chris recommends (classicvwbugs.com / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avcMhRbJgCs ). I've (perhaps foolishly) stripped down much of the car to bare metal already (excluding all the spots that are missed with DA sander) so I can see what I'm dealing with rust wise, and now I'm deep into panel repair, patching and heater channels.
A) Should I be protecting or treating exposed metal with anything while I slowly progress on the body-work, or will blasting take care of most of the flash rust and other contaminants?
B) How do I protect the frame when trailer transporting from the blaster to the paint shop? Just a plastic sheet?
C) Is there any special cleaning (wax and grease remover?) I should do after the blasters? Should I be blowing out the nooks and crannies of the car with air or will that just introduce contaminants?
