Decide on 3 rows or 4 rows.

Personally I would have taken the louvers from the inside & put them on the outside. Kind of repurposing.
I like the 3 row.
Thanks for the great work & inspiration. _________________ I think he meant "rare", as in "not well-done" |

Cutting out a panel to fit with all the curves, before louvers.

Plan on getting them in by today or tomorrow. Center row will be straight up and the outers will angle a little to the outsides to line up a little with the drip rails. Wont angle much, made under 5 degrees from vertical. |

The center row will be about 1/2" higher than the outers. Staggered.

Looks great. I like the tab to hold it in place, very clever. Great build guys. I look here first every day to see the updates. _________________ I think he meant "rare", as in "not well-done" |

Starting on the front park/turn lights. Thinking inner fender, front qtr, wiper holes, roof. Have to figure out where to put them.

Absolutely fabulous build! Fantastic fabrication work. I build custom cars for a living (& hobby) & I know how much time & work goes into this type of build.
There is one thing that concerns me. I hate that all the fenderless builds always leave the God-awful massive indention where the front fender was is left open. IMHO it ruins the look of the car. In your case especially, you really need to fill that in for a smooth rod look.
You could then put the turn signals/park lights inside the wheels on the new filler panel.
Anyway, that's my take on on Volksrods... _________________ ~ Paul

What are you doing for headlamps?
Maybe a turn lamp in the headlamp bucket.
I like the cowl mount, just concerned that people will not see it & well you know. _________________ I think he meant "rare", as in "not well-done" |

Thanks again y'all. The park/turn lights for front will be be simple. The headlight/hood latch is a complicated assembly. Can't wait to show it.
We are currently making our own ice pick door handles to match the hood latches. Want to see some sneak peeks? |
