No doubt, lots of other neat shit too but those were the only ones that I could sneak in due to VW content. Judging by the newest registration on any "drivable" cars, the property has been abandoned for 6-8 years. Check the "Ghia hunting" thread for some of the Ghias that were there too. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

Hello, I'm with Skills on this one. Grab the Camaros. You can get the buses if you like rust repairs or for the salvage of some parts.. |

Until I can find an owner of the property or the cars, trespassing is about the extent of my law breaking (& that debatable due to no fence or signage.). _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

i guess you'll be heading down to the court house to find out who owns those cars then. It crazy to think people just let stuff sit for so long like that. It would be funny if these cars were out west they would actually be in pretty good shape. _________________ "asking and getting are two different things" |

Nah, I got too much shit to do already, but for a finders fee, I'll gladly divulge their location. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

^^^ I use a heat gun and an old credit card or some other plastic scraper. Residue comes off with WD40 or some other mild solvent. _________________ nothing |

A good friend who was an engineer for Ford asked that question to one of the auto body finishers. Ford is always adding stickers to their vehicles, and my buddy wanted to take his off. He was told to try using a hair dryer and a soft plastic scraper.
But if they have been baked on there for a number of years, that may not work. |

Many companies sell a version of this kind of rubber wheel. It's like an eraser. They work great. Heat guns w/razor blades or plastic scrapers can damage the paint. These don't.

If you are careful and paying attention, you will not damage the paint with a heat gun and plastic scraper. If you are not, and don't, you might.
I have not used one of the sticker removal wheels, but have heard they work very well. _________________ nothing |

The stripe remover wheel works very well and is very "dummy proof", the heat gun does it most times as well but there's a fine line between ready to peel and melted paint, or baked on for eternity, I used to use the heat gun but I'm a wheel convert lately. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I talked with a buddy here at work that is Camaro guy he said the 67 RS is a pretty rare car being first year production car he couldn't tell on the vert. They are probably both worth saving compared to the 69 z28 that he just restored. I believe RS are just rare in general if first gen anyways. _________________ "asking and getting are two different things" |

70 westy tin top. Parts for my other 70 or fixup, im thinking about it. It has salvage title. Deer hit at 55, insurance cashed in and then parked since 2002.
Really odd cut outs on the roof there are about 4 cutouts and metal still there and sealed, so odd. You can see one on the passenger side pict. Volvo seats, fold down rear bed is original and works as well as table, the other paets are home made. Dash and everything looks good. Rust is minimal, 2 spots lower pass rear fender and a spot just right of engine lid.
it has disc brakes from late bus added. Has the westy plates and calif rv plate.
Motor oil looked nice, turns over ok, its a dual port, op said it was rebuilt by wolfgang. I cant wait to check compression, drain the tank and change oil and see if she will run as right now its a mystery motor. Probably paid too much at 2k, but adding parts up and having extras i think ill be ahead if i do part it.
