Happy Winter Solstice Everyone!!!

This is the best day of my year. I would post a photo of the great fire going on here but no vanagon content. There could have been but I wasn’t thinking when I was taking pictures.

Anyone have any good Solstice photos?

It is indeed difficult to bring the Vanagon into the living room and photograph it next to the blazing Jotul wood stove. Laughing

No, but you can leave it idling outside with it's 30 year old fuel lines and it will bring the fire to you. Wink

I looked and indeed I can see the back of Lucy just peeking in on the right. Should be good right Mods?

Yes happy solstice! Let the days get longer! I see I have just a little more snow than you there Snowsyncro. Which is not much Crying or Very sad . We need some snow, it was raining here a couple days ago. The next few months are my favorite part of winter, long days and a good base of snow to play on. Hopefully....

Dave--This is the best i could do about getting the Vanagon in next to the blazing wood stove. Not so blazing, nor a Jotul, but nice as we have a gentle snow falling and more to come. Partial to the VC Defiant, but that's another story.

Happy Solstice--now passed--and holidays to boot.

Today .35 inches of sleet and freezing 31º rain so when it hits the 20º road will instantly form a fabulous skating rink. Have my studded sneakers on and will go out to a friend's house later that is up a 1000' hill and play. With a heated steering wheel, how can it get any better than that. Oh, and a beautiful snowfall predicted for Christmas day. Why on earth would someone think 70º was an advantage?

I grew up here so I am used to it. We have two seasons here. Hot and not hot. We had some Texas snow (sleet) the other day. We get that about once in 10 years.

My comment was about "Winter Solstice". I'm always amused when it's winter and I am walking around in shorts. It's not supposed to be like that but living so far down in the subtropics does change the weather a bit.

I did a quite a bit of work in Houston about 15 years ago. I love that place -- this makes me want to go back.

Bring your shorts. Winter is the best time here.
