OMG! A fellow teacher just brought over a very old kids book that a retiring elementary teacher was about to throw away. It's great! It's about a little yellow bug that's bought by a little family and all sorts of cool stuff. I'll make some scans of it soon and post them!

Cool. An ex girlfriend of mine had a 3 yr old, and I remember reading several children's books that had Beetles in them...seems like the VWs are popular in those books...or maybe just easy to draw and recognizable... _________________ <---Air Cooled Search & Rescue Team - STICKERS & T-shirts for sale!

I remember that book as a kid. I'm sure my parents still have it around somewhere. |

I rembember a book when i was a kid that i would read - i can't remember the name, but it had evil motorcycles that would chase down other cars, and I think the main car was a vw bug. Anyway, they are popular!! _________________ Life is a garden - dig it!

Yeah, I really dig this...it's well-aged, drawn on a little in pencil (lightly), and some of the pages have fallen out, but it's all there!

Do you have the loose pages? You might miss a pivotal twist in the story line. _________________ Mike |

I have a couple of copies of Volksy in my collection. Whenever I go to flea markets, I always look through the kid's books for this title. Very hard to come by for some reason. I think it's an ELF book, definitely not a Little Golden book, so it's easy to weed out the ones you don't want by looking at the gold colored spine of the book ( little golden books). Just some tips if you are looking for this... |

Well, I did say it's all there. And it is.
Anyway, here are the pictures...not all the pages I took pictures of. Didn't want to give the whole thing away. And it's actually published by Rand McNally...go fig!

There was 11 copies of this book available on Amazon.

Now there's only 10. I have young grand kids. _________________ I have learned over the years.
