We love it when a plan comes together. (Apology for the plagiarism.) _________________ Festina lente - hasten slowly

Looks really good. That wasn't a simple repair. |

Nice to see that you were able to receive a happy ending from your insurance company (even if you did have to work a bit for it).
Looks Great - Congrats!
I do love that color. |

Wow. Looks great. They did a good job repairing it. Did the weld in a new fender?? _________________ My 70 beetle was totaled Now to build the Ghia I always wanted. Rest in peace Ruby, I will miss you. Hello <insert Ghia name here>! |

That was the original plan, but the shop took a shot at pulling the fender and it came back nicely. They just had to weld in a new headlight surround piece. Here's a shot during the repair. |

We are all glad that things worked out.
Can you perhaps share insight on the appraisal process?
I haven't considered it yet as mine has been parked in the barn for 20 years and will be back on the road this spring.
How much time was involved with the process?
What is a ballpark price? $100...$500...more?
What kind of paperwork do you come away with?
Are there any certifications that add credibility to the appraisal?
Sorry if these are basic but you have caught my attention. _________________ 1974 Ghia Coupe |
