I have a 68 911. I'm thinking of doing he door cards and carpet in the RS style. Anyone who has done this and had regrets????. My trim and carpet is ok but I sort of like the style.

these days with the cars worth so much, most return to the original configuration. THAT is what is appreciated most by the collectors, the owners and the public. Congrats on having one of these valuable 65-68 short wheel base models |

Thanks for the input. My concern was more in the practicalities of it. Noisy. No back seat. Etc. I take there is less underlay etc. I'm also guessing in a push the rear seat can still be used. Its not a lot of money to change it over and it can always be put back std.
What got me thinking is my right hand door trim needs some work and that means both have to done to get a match I reckon. This here to be fixed in Australia will be more than the carpet and two new door cards out of the USA.
I will give it some thought.

there are some great craftsmen in australia and parts readily available. Maybe you should contact Ray at burg design.com and he can give you some local guys who do immaculate original work. Here in the States, we use Autos International. Their work is impeccable. |
