Hi all, I just bought a Fiamma F45S and am super excited to get it mounted on my 2002 EVC. I purchased a set (2) of the awning mounts that are specific to the T4, but I think I would really like to have three mounts since I bought the 10 foot awning. I am wondering if anyone out there feels the same and ended up buying two sets of two mounts an therefore has one extra one they would like to sell me. I would be more than happy to pay you half of the set cost. $70 for one sounds a lot better than $140 for two where one would end up collecting dust in my garage. Please reply to this thread or PM me if you have an extra one sitting around that is collecting dust in your garage. Thanks!
Tim

i considered this but i started with the two mounts and the thing is rock solid even after thousands of bumpy miles.

the weight rating of these bolts on this gauge metal is surprisingly high. i remember looking it up.

Thanks mvaska, that is great to hear! I'm just a bit concerned about it because I ran across a story online that mentioned that someone noticed a slump in the center of their awning case after some time. They mentioned that it made it not close smoothly. Is yours the 10 ft version or the 8 ft one? I think I'd still love to add one more if I can find it... I won't actually get my mounts from fiamma until February (on back order), so I have a bit of time to figure it all out...

totally.. better to be safe.

we have the 10' as well but went with the gowesty mounts. honestly can't see how the center could sag unless maybe lots of leaning on it to get something from a roof rack... reason being that the heavy canvas is supported internally towards the ends which is where you put the two primary brackets.

Thanks again, I hadn't seen that go westy sold a different t4 bracket. It actually looks more simple as it is only one piece instead of three pieces like the fiamma kit. It is also half the price. It also appears to come with the necessary tools for installing the rivet nuts. I think I'll order a set of those instead... If it wouldn't be too much trouble do you think you could post a pic of yours so I can see where you put the mounting brackets? It seems with the 10 footer it will be hard to get the brackets exactly where fiamma says the internal supports are. I'd love to see your setup... even though I see the go westy instructions have details on where to put the brackets.
