Hit that nail on the head. I don't drive mine that much at night as well so it's not that much of a problem for me besides mine are adjusted a little bit high anyway and visibility is not an issue.

Replace the whole relay / turn signal run around with 67 and earlier foot operated HIgh / Low beam switch

You wanted a foot operated switch anyways because it is cool
