I'm having a super tough time finding original paint, pearl white, passenger side body panels for my '67. I found an OG paint pass. rear fender in the classifieds but it is from a '66 (wider trim, bigger trim clip holes).

If I were to buy the fender from the '66 and put it on my '67... would the trim from my '67 be wide enough to cover the existing holes for the '66 trim clips?

The holes for the 66 are the same size as your door card holes and take the same rubber boot to seal the hole. I don't think it will cover it and the clips are two different animals.

I think it'll be close to covering. If you add the seals, then the seals will stick out at the edge of the trim.

I was just planning on drilling a new set of holes for the smaller trim clips and hoping the narrower trim would cover the existing holes. It'll probably be close. I'll compare my trim to some door trim clip plugs I have lying around.

That's what I figured you were looking to do.
