|
|
I have 4.5's on the front of my bus. It is lowered. Want to raise it a little so I can drive it easier. My tires are 195/45-15 now. I have had them since before smart car tires were made. With that being said I have never liked the way the tires look. Way too wide for the rim, stretched in. I have been looking at the 145/65's. They are the correct width but I want a little more side wall. I also like the 165/60's because they are close to 135 height. I have looked but cant find any pics on a 4.5 rim only 5.5. Would the 165's be too wide for the 4.5's and be stretched in like what I have?

The Tire Rack shows the rim width range for a 145/65-15 to be 4 to 5 inches.
The ideal width is 4.5 inches.....exactly what you have. |

I'd run 165X60 for a little more rubber on the road. I have 185X60 on the front of my square & they came to me on 4.5 Beetle wheels. No more than 185 on a 4.5 I wouldn't advise. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

should have entertained 155/60/15.Look in the JAN 2018 hot vw magazine and on pages 59,60,and 61 there is a vert with brms on that they are 4.5" and with the 155/60/15 i recommended see what those look like they got good tire height and width |

The 145’s are a bit taller than the 155’s. |

Which continental tires are you running on your rig? Need to replace mine and I am looking for possible options. |

I went 145/65-15. The 155's are wider with shorter height. |
